8. Web analytics services

Piwik / Matomo

Our website uses the web analysis service Matomo (formerly called Piwik) of InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. Matomo evaluates the traffic of website visitors. Among other things, a web analysis service collects data on which website an affected person has come to a website (so-called referrers), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. Matomo is open source software. The analysis is made possible by cookies. An explanation of cookies can already be found above (under 7.). Through the use of Matomo, information regarding your use of our website is collected. The information is stored on a server of Matomo in Germany. Your IP address will be shortened and made anonymous before each transmission. In no case will the IP address be associated with other data relating to the user. An assignment of the IP address is not possible (IP masking).

If you do not want Matomo cookies to be stored on your computer, you can explicitly prevent the storage of cookies in the settings of your Internet browser and modify the settings accordingly. However, this can have the consequence that the use of our website for you is only possible to a limited extent.

9. Use of Google Maps

This site uses a Google Maps Plugin (API) of Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). Google Maps is a web service which shows interactive (geographic) maps in order to visually display geographic information. When you use this service you will be shown where we are located and this will make it easier for you to find your way to our company.

When you call a site of our internet homepage, which incorporates the Google Maps map your browser will build up a direct connection with Google’s servers. As a result of the Plugin function information concerning your use of our website ( such as, e.g. your IP address) will be transmitted to Google servers in the USA and will be stored there . This will happen regardless of whether you have installed a Google user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account is existing. When you are logged in with Google, Google can directly attribute the visit of our website to your user account. If such an attribution is not desired, you will have to log out before you will use the site. Google will save your data (even for unlogged users) as operational profiles and it will evaluate and analyze the same. It is specifically in line with the provisions of Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that such an evaluation and analysis is made on the basis and in view of Google’s justified interests in and to the use of personalized advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. As far as the purpose and the extent of this collection of data and the further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your pertinent  rights and setting options which serve to protect your privacy are concerned you are invited to please refer to Google’s Privacy Protection Statement at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

If you do not agree to the future communication of your data to Google in connection with the use of Google Maps, you can completely opt out of  the Google Maps web service by deactivating the JavaScript application in your browser. In that case Google Maps and consequently also Google Maps-based geographic maps which are shown on this web site can then not be used.

Google’s terms and conditions of use can be found at https://policies.google.com/term?gl=US&hl=de

10. Use of YouTube

Our website uses the service provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, to embed videos. Normally, your IP address will be sent to YouTube and cookies will be installed on your computer already at the time you open a webpage with embedded videos. However, we integrated our YouTube videos with the expanded data protection mode (so, while YouTube still contacts the service DoubleClick by Google, no personal data will be analysed in this process, according to Google’s Data Privacy Policy). YouTube will thus no longer save any information on visitors, unless you watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address will be transferred to YouTube and YouTube will know that you watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be allocated to your user account (you may prevent that by logging out of YouTube before you watch the video).

We have no knowledge of and no influence on how your data might then by collected and used by YouTube. For more information, please refer to YouTube’s Data Privacy Policy available at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
